Kala Yatra offers a 'live & work' space for artists, scholars, and practitioners as part of its artist residency program. We welcome contemporary artistic practices that are conceptual, interventionist, and contextual.

As an intern, you will be deeply involved in the daily operations of an international non-profit organization and gain valuable experience while connecting with a vast network of artists and scholars. Given the small team size, interns play a crucial role in the administration and management of the program. Core Responsibilities:

Administer and support the organization of the ongoing Artist-in-Residence program.
Assist with the preparation, setup, and facilitation of events, workshops, and projects.
Contribute to marketing efforts, including photo and video documentation and social media content for Kala Yatra.
Collaborate with an international team and participate in planning and coordination meetings.
Provide day-to-day assistance to resident artists, including orientation, material sourcing, and general support.
Help care for the residency house, including basic upkeep (supervising cleanliness of shared spaces, monitoring supplies, assisting with room turnover, coordinating minor repairs, and ensuring a welcoming environment).

Requirements:
A strong interest in art, cultural exchange, or community-based work.
Fluency in English (both written and verbal communication)
Proficiency in computer skills (knowledge of design programs is a must)
Willingness to work with your hands when necessary
